Mandarin Beef with Ramen Noodles

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the zest and juice of 3 Wonderful Halos mandarins with the garlic and soy sauce.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the cornstarch and cold water. Add the cornstarch mixture to the bowl with the soy sauce.
  4. Heat canola oil in a large nonstick skillet or wok over high heat. Working in batches, brown beef on all sides, 3 to 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and transfer to a plate.
  5. Lower heat to medium and pour sauce mixture into skillet. Boil until slightly thickened, about 1 minute. Return beef to skillet and add Wonderful Halos segments and green onions. Toss until coated and heated through.
  6. Into the pot of boiling water, add ramen. Cook until tender, about 3 minutes, then remove from heat and drain the water. Toss the ramen with sesame oil. Add the juice of 1 Wonderful Halos mandarin. Serve the beef over the noodles, and garnish with sesame seeds.
